Rules and Regulations

Skater/Parent Etiquette

  1. The Township of Scugog and BSC requires all skaters and parents to adhere to fire evacuation guidelines. If an alarm is sounded all individuals must evacuate immediately from the building by the nearest exit. Individuals may not reenter until the arena staff have informed them that the hazard has been cleared.
  2. The Township of Scugog and BSC requires that all skaters exit the ice when the Zamboni gate opens. Skaters may not enter the ice surface until the Zamboni gate is fully closed.
  3. Certified safety helmets are required for all skaters up to and including level 5.
  4. Due to skater safety issues, parents are not permitted to coach, teach, lecture or encourage at the boards. Interrupting focus during a session is considerably dangerous. Parents may enjoy watching their skaters from the lobby viewing windows.
  5. Skaters should commit to an energized work ethic that enhances the training environment.
  6. Skater/parent concerns can be directed to any of the BSC executive members. We will work together to find a resolution.
  7. All patrons using the arena facilities must follow the Township of Scugog’s code of conduct. (See below)
